This rare pair of Chinese watercolors depicting the lives of the workers and scholars are well executed and obviously painted by an accomplished artist, although not signed.

Condition: Minor foxing, otherwise in fine condition, retaining the original gilt wood frames.

Provenance: Edward Garrett Antiques, New York, 1960’s.
