Excellent condition, retaining the original gilt frame. Original stretcher is eastern white pine. Provenance: Private collection, Buffalo, New York. Originally found in Rochester, New York.
This charming winter genre scene depicting figures skating on a river along with a horse drawn sleigh was most likely painted in western New York State.
