William and Mary Gate-Leg Drop-Leaf Table

Over-all in great condition, retains original brown-painted surface, minor repairs to hinges and rule joint.

William and Mary gate-leg tables with untouched original “Spanish-brown” paint and original feet, such as this example, are exceedingly rare to find. Having an undisturbed central board top with bowel ends and hinged leaves, showing some tiger maple graining, sits above a long-fitted drawer. The table is supported by exceptional block and ring turned legs joined by turned stretchers ending on suppressed ball feet.
