Excellent condition, no restoration, recently cleaned.
Dimensions: 24 ¾” x 30 ¾” with frame.
Webber was born in Gardiner, Maine and was considered self-taught, although while painting in Conway, New Hampshire with artist such as J.J. Enneking and Frank Shapleigh, he developed his own style as a sophisticated realist painter. Webber moved his studio from Boston to New York City in 1892. He exhibited at the Boston Art Club, the National Academy of Design, the Brooklyn Academy, the Peabody Museum in Salem and the Portland Museum in Maine. His works are represented in most of the large regional American Museums.
