Unusual Cast Iron Covered Urn

Stamped (inside bottom), Portland Stove FNRY, Portland, Me., Franklin Urn.
Cast iron, brass eagle. Great condition, very minor wear and pitting on base.
This imposing size covered urn with fluted sides, the top surmounted with a cast brass eagle, was perhaps used by the fireplace for small kindling and paper. 22 ½” h., 11 ½ ” dia. (furthest points).
