Rare and Unusual Storage Box with Two Lids

Probably New England, ca. 1825-1850.
Poplar, paint decoration
Condition: Excellent, minor repair to the lip of one lid, crack to other lid, retains original grain paint decoration. Presumably used for storing dry goods or tea. Rare form for a utilitarian country box with great paint decoration.
