Sack-Back Windsor Armchair

New England, probably Connecticut, ca. 1785-1795.
Hickory, Ash and Maple.
Excellent condition with an old refinished surface.
The bentwood sack-back with spindles is canted, flanking carved knuckle arms with turned supports. The shaped saddle seat is supported by bulbous turned, splayed legs joined by turned and shaped stretchers.

Dimensions: 37 ½” h., 17 ½” h. (seat), 25” w. (arms), 19” d. (legs)
