Regency Tea Caddy

Mahogany, mahogany veneer, various fruit woods for inlay, brass ball feet and handles
Condition: Over-all in fine condition, minor repair to one hinge area
Provenance: New Hampshire family
This exceptional example of a tea caddy is masterfully made with superior quality inlay patterns, the top having a shell surrounded by diamond and geometric pattern inlay escutcheon. The front is adorned by a faux drawer below a diamond inlay. The interior lid for the tea compartments appears to be original.
