Rare Stumpwork and Needlework Genre Scene

English, ca. 1790-1810.
Embroidered wool on silk, stumpwork.
19 ½ ” x 23 ½” with frame.
Over-all in great condition, appears to retain the original carved, gilt frame.
Provenance: The Collection of Joe Kinding III, York, Pa.
The scene depicts a couple with racquets and a dog standing in front of a homestead with views of a garden with planted urns. The work has remained in a wonderful state of preservation.
