Condition: Over-all in fine condition, some toning and foxing.  In a period bird’s eye maple frame.
A rare subject matter with eight figures facing one another smoking their pipes while enjoying a conversation. The silhouettes are created with great detail and thoughtfully juxtaposed and are highlighted by formal drapery painted in watercolor.
