Rare Queen Anne Tea Table

Probably Rhode Island, ca. 1750-1765.
Mahogany, chestnut wood secondary.
Over-all in excellent condition, minor age check to surface of the top, repair to one pad foot, otherwise all original.
Provenance: Israel Sack, Inc., New York; Purchased in 1990, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph H. Hennage; Bequest to Colonial Williamsburg Foundation, deaccessioned to benefit the Joseph H. and June S. Hennage Fund.
It is rare to find American tea tables of this size and proportions. Having an elongated rectangular thumb-molded mahogany one-board top overhanging a skirt rail with carved, shaped ends supported by delicate turned, tapered legs ending on pad feet.
