Rare Queen Anne Side Chair

New England, probably Portsmouth, New Hampshire, ca. 1750.
Appears to be maple with original red-wash and varnish finish. Untouched original condition, original rush slip seat with make-shift patchwork to seat.
The chair has a pronounced yolk-back crest rail above a vasiform splat flanked by stiles with a trapezoid seat frame with a cut-out cupid’s bow, supported by cabriole legs ending on pad feet joined by block and turned stretchers. In a remarkable state of preservation.
