Rare Queen Anne Desk on Frame

SOLD  Probably Connecticut, ca. 1730-1750.
Cherry, white pine secondary wood.
Fine condition, repair to where hinges join lid (hinges original), early replaced brass, minor imperfections.
In a rare and unusual size, the slant-lid desk opens to a fitted interior with pigion holes and goose-neck shaped dividers flanking a central door above small drawers.  The desk is seated on a frame with a shaped apron supported by straight Queen Anne legs ending on pad feet.
Provenance:  Private Collection, Fairfield, CT.  Purchased in the late 1960’s.
