Rare Pair of Chamber Sticks with Adjustable Shades

Brass, tin with polychrome paint decoration
Condition: over-all in excellent condition, retaining original paint decoration on shades, now with oxidized surface.
Provenance: Private collection, Elliott and Grace Snyder.
Rare to find a pair of chamber sticks with charming shades depicting flowers in a woven basket. The drip pans on the base of the candlesticks are complimented with a beaded decoration.
