Rare Miniature Late Federal Chest

Mid-Atlantic Region, possibly Kentucky, ca. 1830.
Cherry, tiger-maple, mahogany veneer, poplar and southern yellow pine.
Over-all in great condition, some expected wear, replaced brass pulls, old refinished surface with rich patina.
Provenance: Private Collection, New Hampshire.
This fine and rare miniature chest has wonderful proportions with an over-hanging drawer above three drawers with book-matched mahogany veneer panels flanked by turned half-round columns with carved capitals, all supported by turned feet. A vintage note from previous owner in a drawer states Kentucky origin.
