A Rare Late Federal Oval Mirror with Carved Eagle

American, probably Philadelphia or New York.
Carved gilt and silver wood with green paint, mirror glass.
Condition: All elements and carving original, restoration to some gilt, silver and paint (see full condition report).
The mirror is surmounted with an exceptionally well carved spread-wing eagle flanked by bull-rushing above an unusually carved mirror frame with a carved drop pendant.
