Rare Early Rooster Weathervane

Over-all in fine condition, minor resoldering to seems on the lower body, naturally oxidized verdigris surface.
Provenance: Private Collection, Buffalo, New York
Found in Maine in the late 1970s, this rare and possibly unique example of a rooster having a split tail, full body and sheet copper head are features seen on early forms related to their French-Canadian predecessors. This example has retained an exceptional verdigris surface.
