Rare Diminutive Girandole Mirror

Carved gilt wood and gesso, cut glass cupholders and prisms, convex mirror plate.
Great condition, retains most of the original gilt, minor repairs commensurate with age.
Provenance: From a prominent Boston collection.
This rare and desirable diminutive girandole mirror exhibits both great form and proportions. Having a carved spread-wing eagle flanked by serpents above a convex mirror surrounded by balls with candle arms fitted with glass bobeches and prisms.
