Rare Diminutive Chippendale Slant-Top Desk

New England, probably Massachusetts, ca. 1760-1770

Over-all in excellent condition, retaining original etched brass and lid hinges, retaining an old finish.

This rare, diminutive or child’s size Chippendale desk with a fall-front lid opens to a fitted interior with pigeon holes and sits above two drawers being supported by a tall bracket foot base. The desk has survived in a remarkable state of preservation.
