Rare Child’s Size Beaded Dress

Northern Plains/Plateau, late 19th c., probable Lakota.
Hide with stitched beads and sinew sewing.
Provenance: From the collection of Dr. James Meltzer. Private collection, Connecticut for the last 20 years.
In a rare and desirable child’s size, having wonderful blue, white and yellow beadwork on the shoulders with fringes. The bottom edge is also adorned with colored beadwork with fringes.
