This iconic American symbol of a carved patriotic eagle is further embellished with Federal shields, one inscribed, Liberty. The most unique feature is the eagle holding a star in its beak. This is perhaps symbolic for adding another star to the flag or represents adding another state to the Union. This example not only embodies the spirit of the craftsman who carved and painted this eagle but also the celebration of the Centennial of our country and the freedom of our nation.
