Mahogany
The table has a one board figured mahogany top with porringer shaped corners over-hanging a skirt with step-down carved rails supported by straight tapered Queen Anne legs ending on pad feet. The top is attached with four dowels and re-supported with cleats underneath the top. This construction feature is associated with Newport, Rhode Island pieces.
