Queen Anne One Drawer Tavern Table

Walnut; secondary wood: poplar (drawer bottom)
This diminutive one drawer tavern table has a wonderful over hanging top with notched corners. The top is fitted with cleats underneath and is attached with dowels to the case which is supported by delicate, elongated turned legs with a stretcher base above turned ball feet.
Condition: Fine condition, retaining an early 19th c. finish.

Provenance: Descended through the Drexel Family. Brought to Maine in the 1930’s. Gift to Howard C. Goldman, 1965.
