Over-all in great condition, minor wear to the surface commensurate with age.
Provenance: From a prominent life-long New Jersey collection.
Santo Domingo Pottery and the Santo Domingo Pueblo is one of the best-known tribes of the southwest, largely because of their skill in producing and marketing their pottery, jewelry and other crafts. Even through centuries of changes, the Santo Domingo people have closely guarded their ceremonies, ancient religious structures and societies. Their traditional ancient art forms and decoration, such as pottery, seems to have also gone unchanged.
