This distinguished gentleman with stylized hair wearing a high-collared white shirt and waist jacket has all the hallmarks of Jasper Miles’ work, who originally was thought to be the “Mr. Boyd” artist. The details in the profile features of the sitter are also quite striking attributes of the artist. Label on verso, Parson Lancaster of Uncle Chas Libby’s fam./of Portland, Me.
