Turned Maple.
Over-all in great condition, retaining original red paint.
In an impressive large size, this turned treenware “acorn type” has exceptional form with a footed base and a wonderful turned finial. These attributes are commonly seen in pieces made by the Pease family in the Cascade Valley of Ohio around 1850.
