Pair of Queen Anne Side Chairs

Walnut.
Over-all in fine condition, repair to one left stile customary wear, replaced slip-seat frames.
Having boldly shell-carved shaped crests, this early pair of Queen Anne side chairs have vasiform shaped splats flanked by shaped stiles complimenting the balloon-form, compass seat frames supported by cabriole legs ending on pad feet while joined by block and turned stretchers.
