Pair of Chippendale Side Chairs

Minor repairs to one splat, replaced slip seats and supporting glue blocks.
The chairs are fully decorated with carving. Typical of the Rococo period, the excuberant carving is found even on the stiles of the chairs. Both have carved crest rails above carved pierced splats with gadroon carving around the seat frames which are supported by cabriole legs with carved knees and carved ball and claw feet.
