Ormolu Gilt Mantel Clock

Dore bronze with fire gilt surface.
In fine condition, minor wear to the back side of clock.
This elaborate dore bronze mantle clock has a time and strike movement with pendulum and a metal face with embossed images of Venus in her shell boat. The classical form of the clock depicts Cupid with his harp riding atop a dolphin, resting on an oval base with bun feet.
