The painting depicts the horse, Henry, 2.20 1⁄4 by
Harry Lathrop, son of Bloods Black Hawk. The sulky is driven by Dan Mace. McAuliffe was known for his horse painting and helped to capture many of prominent horses and jockeys of the day.
