Full body molded sheet copper, copper tubing, copper wire, cast zinc ears, and rider’s head.
Condition: Excellent condition, no repairs, evenly weathered with a wonderful verdigris surface.
Provenance: Private Collection, Cornwall, Connecticut
Horse and sulky weathervanes represent America’s oldest pastime of horse racing. These popular models are desirable among collectors. The strongest attribute of this example is the well-defined cast zinc head of the rider showing a pleasing expression.
