The form of a horse with jockey weathervane was made popular by America’s first pastime sport horse racing. This example with great lines and movement is further complimented by a well defined rider with a cast zinc head and cap. The untouched surface, with traces of gold leaf coupled with patination from weathering, adds to the aesthetic and appeal of the piece.
