Herman Hanatschek was known for his portrait paintings. This portrait of an elegant lady wearing her stylish plumed hat and fur stole and muff in red and white colors is quite appealing. Although we know little about Hanatschak’s works, he seems to have been formally trained and an accomplished artist, as is seen in this painting.
