Hepplewhite Card Table

Possibly attributed to William Lloyd (1779-1845), Springfield, Massachusetts.
Mahogany, mahogany veneer, mixed woods used for inlay, pine and maple secondary woods.
The straight front is flanked by inset ovolo corners and supported by tapered straight legs. The table is embellished with a large inlaid shell pattern on the front with four additional inlaid shells above the legs. The intricate inlay patterns on the edges of the top, the use of holly wood, and the maple swing leg are features that also relate to pieces made by William Lloyd.
Condition: Refinished, otherwise in excellent condition.
