This rare pair of impressionist landscapes is among Engle’s best works known.
Harry Engle was well respected among his peers as a talented landscape painter. After studying at the Art Institute of Chicago and exhibiting at many Expositions he organized the Chicago Galleries Association. Engle later became director of the organization and continued writing articles covering the contemporary art scene in Chicago.
