Inscribed: His last and trusting arrows fled…The wandering Indian forces his game, harnessed in fear no more he sees the hope for game. But disappointment…where rolls the proud (?) Pacific’s waves along its lengthened shore. And with his faithful bow his all. He sinks into the tomb. There with a crushed and drooping heart He views his comming doom.
This rare subject matter of an Indian with his bow riding a running horse is wonderfully executed and a subject matter of which only a few are known.
