Probably Westervald, Germany.Ca. 1714-1760. Incised stoneware with manganese and cobalt glaze. This salt-glazed gray globular jug with a handle, cylindrical neck and concentric rilling bears the initials, GR, for George Rex. (King George). Condition: Fine condition, minor imperfections in firing.
