Federal Red-Painted Corner Cupboard

Pennsylvania, ca. 1820-1835

Cherry, original red painted and varnish finish.

Condition: Exceptional surface and over-all condition, interior shelves re-painted.

The two-part corner cupboard has a molded cornice above a glass paneled door, fitted to a lower case with applied moldings above inset paneled doors supported by a shaped, cut-out bracket base embellished with a wonderful carved, shaped front apron.
