Federal Lolling Chair

Condition: Excellent condition, frame in a remarkable state of preservation.
This style of lolling chair is commonly referred to as a “Martha Washington” chair, having a well-defined serpentine crest rail with an upholstered back flanked by shaped open arms. The carved molded arms continue into the front legs and are supported by a stretcher base.
