Exceptional Georgian Tea Caddy

English, early 19th c.
Mahogany, mahogany veneer, satin wood; secondary wood is pine.
Over-all in excellent condition, very minor imperfections.
This rectangular form tea caddy is highly decorated with geometric patterns of inlaid veneers and satin wood panels separated by intricate pattern-line inlay and banding.
The top opens to three fitted compartments with sliding lids and traces of foil lining.
Incredible quality of structure and design.
