Ethan Allen Running Horse Weathervane

American, ca. 1880-1890.

Full body copper, copper tubing, cast iron head.

Excellent condition, wonderful patina with oxidized surface and traces of original gilt surface.

Although a common form, this example has a wonderful definition to both the tail and mane as well as to the cast iron, zinc-coated head. Coupled with the surface and condition, this Ethan Allan horse weathervane is a fine example.
