Collection of Blown Glass Canes

American, probably Mid-western, New York, and New England.
Blown glass. Most all in excellent condition, losses to a few tips. Housed in a custom acrylic display base.

Having taken some time to assemble this group of 28 blown glass canes, the previous collector smartly designed a transparent acrylic display base showcasing the different forms, colors, and designs. These canes represent examples made by glass-blowers at the end of the day with leftover molten glass from the furnace. They were considered whimseys, yet were used to show off one’s expertise and skill among colleagues and family.
