Depicting a woman riding sidesaddle on a galloping horse. TRADEMARK cast on the horse’s neck, CINCINNATI STOVE WORKS on the saddle blanket and R CIN. IRON FDY/CIN., O. 1903, on the reverse with raised marks.
The Cincinnati Stove Works, incorporated ca. 1879, was a leading manufacturer of cooking stoves and all kinds of srive hollow-ware, such as pots, skillets, griddles, iron heaters, tea-kettles and wash-bilers as well as parts for the repair of stoves. Theodore Cooke, one of Cincinnati’s most prominent citizens, served as president.
