The case is in fine condition, having a two board molded top, sides and four graduated drawers, all of which seem to be from the same fletch of cherry. The back feet are dovetailed to the case with excessive blocking, commonly found in chests from Hartford County. The feet remain in good condition, there is one small hair-line fracture to the front left foot facing. The blocking and bracing underneath the chest have been stained, some of it removed. A few blocks re-enforced. Brasses are replaced. Old refinished surface.
