Chippendale Painted Five Drawer Chest

New England, probably Massachusetts, ca. 1780-1795.
Maple with red painted surface, oval brasses.
Over-all in fine condition. Period brass mounted in original holes. Minor repairs and restoration to a few foot facings.  
This compact, well-proportioned chest has an applied molded cornice above five graduated drawers with thumb-molded edges, supported by tall shaped bracket feet. Nice clean lines with an exceptional painted surface.
