Chippendale Kettle Stand

New England, probably Connecticut, ca. 1770-1785. Maple and cherry. Overall in fine condition, minor repairs to lip of dish top, repair to one foot.

This unusual and delicate tall kettle stand has a wonderfully turned dish top with a reeded edge supported by a circular cleat above a very well defined turned urn form shaft supported by a cabriole, hawked knee, legs ending on snake feet.
