Chippendale Decorated Child’s Size Chair

Condition: In a fine state of preservation, wonderful early 19th-century surface. Old repair to the back right foot.
This unique and unusual child’s size chair was either originally adorned with shells, glass and beads and gilt decoration or perhaps decorated in the early 19th century. The chair exhibits great form having a shaped crest with carved ears above a pierced splat flanked by raking stiles with a rush seat.
