Carved Chippendale Side Chair


Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, ca. 1770
Condition: Minor repairs to the molded edges of the seat frame, minor imperfections, otherwise in good condition.
This chair has a serpentine crest centered by a carved shell with volutes, above a pierced splat with a molded seat frame, supported by cabriole legs with carved shell knees, ending on carved ball and claw feet.

Dimensions: 39 3/4" h., 22" w., 17" d.
