Butcher’s Table

French, second half of the 19th century

Condition: Excellent, original marble

This is an extraordinary example of a French butcher’s table, both for its size and quality of the ornamentation. The frieze  of the table is cast, pierced steel with floral and scrolled morif patterns supported by a scrolled frame and legs, highlighted with brass rosettes and turnings. The table retains its original white marble top adding to the desirability of the table.
