A Rare Large Native American Carved Burl Ash Bowl

Northeastern United States, probably woodland, late 18th c.
Hand carved and hewn from a large black ash burl wood.
Excellent condition, old lead filling, retaining an old natural surface with expected wear from use and age.
Provenance: Harold Corbin Antiques, Connecticut. Purchased in 1978, from a prominent collection, Litchfield, Connecticut
